It encompasses education on proper hygiene practices, safe food handling techniques, and the prevention of food-borne illnesses. Training programs often cover critical topics such as temperature control, cross-contamination, personal hygiene, and proper sanitation. By equipping food service workers with this knowledge, food safety training ensures that food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, protecting consumers from potential health hazards and helping establishments comply with regulatory standards.

Allergen Awareness & Food Safety Combined
An extended full day course covering both Level 2 in Food Safety and Level 2 in Allergy Awareness. A great way to combine the two complementary courses and obtain two qualifications with minimal disruption.
Level 2 Award in HACCP
This qualification will enable individuals to understand the importance of implementing a food safety management system, based on the Codex HACCP principles, in a catering or manufacturing environment. They will learn their role in ensuring the effective operation of the HACCP system and gain the knowledge to identify, control and monitor hazards at points critical to food safety within their business. They will also understand the importance of taking corrective action when critical limits are breached and become familiar with the documentation and records needed to support a HACCP system.
Level 3 Award in HACCP
Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 requires that ‘those responsible for the development and maintenance of the HACCP principles have received adequate training in the application of the HACCP principles’. In order for employees to deal competently and confidently with this requirement, a thorough understanding of Codex HACCP principles is needed. The Level 3 Award in HACCP for Food Manufacturing (QCF) has been developed specifically for insertion into the Qualifications and Credit Framework, with full support from Improve, the Sector Skills Council for the food and drink manufacturing industry in the UK. It is therefore fully compliant with industry and regulatory standards, as well as being recognized by environmental health practitioners, auditors and other enforcement officers. Individuals achieving this qualification will understand the importance of adapting HACCP principles for product-based and process-led situations
Level 2 Award in Food Allergen Awareness
The objective of the qualification is to develop a Learner’s knowledge of food allergens and food intolerances, the effects these can have on individuals, how to control cross-contamination from allergenic ingredients and how to provide accurate food allergen information. This qualification is for people who are working in, or preparing to work in a food handling, food retail or food manufacturing role. This qualification compliments our range of Food Safety qualifications.
